I Believe

(DECEMBER 2015)

I believe in one universal God. A God that is not gendered, that is faceless, but highly personified. A God that is beyond my own understanding of entities. One that is beyond my understanding existence and reality. A God I could never see, but one which I can always feel. One that will never speak back to me, but one I could communicate with. One that will always reach back to me, if, or when, I do try to understand the nature of my relationship with it, and it with me. I believe in a God which unconditionally loves me. I believe in a God which reached out to me first, before I, it.

I believe, because I am loved.

I believe we are all looking towards the same light, journeying through different paths, from many different directions, seeing the same thing from a variety of vantage points. We can either talk to each other, about our unique and personal paths, or debate the merit of our maps. Some of us prefer the scenic route, some of us do not really want to arrive, because sometimes, the journey is the point. Or sometimes, we really don't care, we are just enjoying ourselves for now, and the future does not matter. Some of us think we are already there, some of us think we will never get there. Whatever. It doesn't cost us anything to talk to each other.

We are all beggars, trying to tell the others where to find some bread.

I believe in grace, freewill, love, hope, and faith. I believe we are created good, and it is up to us to realize this goodness intended. I believe the Divine is always empowering. I believe the Universe is always directing itself towards the Light.

I believe in Love, above all else. But without Hope, and without Faith, there is nothing.

  3. That was pretty intense, thank you. The word Love always makes me think of St. Paul's Hymn to Love, which is stunning. xoxo
